Heater quit working, smoke or steam coming out of vents?

Smells like antifreeze and something burning. When I turned the heater on it took a lot of power, I heard it. And the battery gage went way past 14. I didn’t drive it and it didn’t come close to warming up. The heater has been squealing a lot. It’s been very cold outside.
