What is the production date of you vehicle and do you have remote alarm and locks?

2002 and yes it has a remote for alarms and locks which we quit using because it broke were it connects to key chain. It also has a number key lock on driver side door.

I need the build date. It's on the door jam.

There is something called a "Body Security Module" that controls that stuff. I'm afraid this is not a DIY job. You are going to need a dealer level scan tool to access that module to get information from it. The module may be bad or there could be another issue giving the module bad information, but it's not something you can do yourself.
