Looking for the easiest way to change an EGR valve on a SEL 2.5l. I know were it is on the vehicle. Any input is helpful. Thanks.

See pictures for removal. You will need to drain anti freeze far enough to remove it and do not use power discs or hard wire brushes to clean gasket surfaces. Install is reverse of removal.

I'm assuming I can just drain the anti freeze from the bottom of raidiator?How much should I drain?An do I need to buy a gasket cause one did not come with the new part.

You should replaced the gasket drain enough fluid so it won't leak when parts are off, like a gallon or so should do it.

So I changed the EGR an now the temp gauge goes up an then back to normal an there is whining noise up front after the car is warmed. It doesn't overheat at all an drives fine. Any ideas?

Heck to see if all air is out of cooling system it may have some causing the temp to go up/down, the whining may be the alternator making noise I can't hear it so can't really give diagnosis on that. Here are bleed instructions make sure to fill degas bottle prior to bleeding and after see pics.
