Loss of power and check engine light is on?

Car tends to hesitate, EGR valve car tends to hesitate. Loss of power and check engine light is on. Mechanic said to clean port.

This sounds like the throttle body needs to be serviced. can I ask what the code number is? Here is a guide that you can go over that talks about engine hesitation, and I have included how to service the throttle body and where the EGR valve is.
