Hello,

It sounds like it could be the fuel pump but to be sure here is a guide we use to see why the engine is not starting.

I have a 1998 Volvo S90 question-Check Engine Light came on-I checked, and it is a P0017 ECT Sensor, but the Car Would Start didn't get a chance to change it-Then the car only Clicks, and No Start so I checked the Battery, and it was Dead-Had the Battery Charged, and still No Start only a Small amount of Clicks are heard, but the Lights come on-Could it still be the ECT Sensor or now the Starter or Alternator ?

Sounds to me it could be a starter issue. If you can get a hammer/mallet on it. Hit it a few times and try starting it.
