EGR code keeps showing up

They recommend I clean all ports and I have, I even replaced the EGR likely unnecessarily. I can’t get this code removed. I’ve even started trouble shooting and cleaning and replacing PCV valve and tubing just trying anything to remove this code. Mechanics are stumped and I’m not willing to dump money into a problem they cannot diagnose or tell me it will 100 percent fix it so I’m doing it on my own with a headache attached. Please help me or tell me if you’ve been in this unfortunate situation.

Good morning,

I would start by removing the EGR valve and then starting the engine. You should have an exhaust leak and a heavy vacuum leak. This will tell you if the passages are clear. It is common for the one for the vacuum to get clogged in the intake and it will not work correctly.

I attached a connector diagram for the valve. Check the pins for voltage. You should have both 5 volts on the reference and 12 volts for the solenoid.
