Does the ECU have to be replaced when replacing the ABS unit?

The dealership charged us for both ABS and ECU replacements. The ABS leaks and I took it back and they are now charging again for both units. Can't the current ECU be programmed with the new ABS unit?

They do call it an ABS ECU as one part did you get charged for the ABS module and ECU separately? If not, you are okay, if so, there might be something wrong here is how to change the ABS module out the images below so you can see for yourself. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else.
