I am replacing my starter and when I went to remove the ECU/WCM that is in the front air intake box the connector snapped when I went to remove it. So I can get it reinstalled but worry it would come loose. I cannot find the tyco housing connector/receptacle online anywhere. Part number on the connector is 0-1452390-1. Please help.

Hello,

Yes I do not think you can get the connector separately because it comes with the wiring harness. Can you taker a better picture of what is broken maybe we can fix it?

Let me know.

With a little patience and a pocket screw driver you can align the lever back to the connector but it can be tough. Sorry there are no videos, but if the other connector is still good, you can use it as a guide to line up the connector.

I too, had this same problem when trying to change my upper radiator hose. The red lower release lever was quite brittle and broke off when I tried to loosen it. I made a little tool from a piece of stiff aluminum and pushed down on each tab in the slot and they each released without a problem. I guess that you could make/shape a similar tool from any really stiff and strong material. First, I used my grinder to dress it down to the correct width and thickness so that it would easily slide into the slot for the tabs, seen in the second pic below, then just push down on it.

Note: Make sure that the tool isn't too thick for the slot, since that would damage the plastic housing and create a new headache for you. I would suggest that you reach under the bracket to feel for the tabs as you are pushing them out, to make sure that you are not pushing them entirely out of the housing. Once they have each been released, the bracket will pop out. To reattach, simply push the connector bracket all the way back onto the ECU, while pushing up on the tabs beneath (you have to do them one at a time). I couldn't get either of them to go all the way back in, only about half way, but the connector seemed quite secure when I pulled on it, so I don't think it will shake loose. Hope this helps!
