Why would the ECU have motor oil in it?

ECU is leaking a lot of motor oil! Obviously, the ECU shouldn't have motor oil in it. where could it be coming from?

Hi,

Are you referring to the ECU under the dash? See pic 1 below. If that is the case, there shouldn't be oil anywhere near that area. Are you certain it is oil?

Under the dash is the heater core which contains coolant, and the A/C evaporator which produces water from condensation. Could that be what you are seeing?
