I need to change the ECT sensor on a 2019 F150 2.7l. Code P1026 present and live data shows ECT over 200°F and constantly fluxing while CHT2 at 60°F solid not moving (engine cold and not running). I know it is located under the intake manifold in runner valley. I want the Ford service manual step by step if possible. I hear this is a 8.5 book hours job. If you have any tips to shorten the job length would be much appreciated as well. Thank you

Yep, the intake needs to come off of the engine to get to the engine temperature coolant sensor, there i is no other way. Here is the manual to do the job step by step:

Here is the location of the sensor so you have an idea of what needs to be done to fix the problem, also make sure to clear the codes once the job is completed. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.

Thank you. Does the coolant have to be drained by removing the water pump?

No, the radiator should have a drain or you can remove the bottom radiator hose to let the coolant out. Let me know how it goes.
