EATC problem

Air conditioner and heater not blowing from correct vents.

self test codes 1259 and 1263.

Based on the codes you have, specifically 1263 (which is a B code) B1263, indicates an open circuit to the panel / defrost door. Is that where the problem is happening?

The B1259 is specific to the solar radiation circuit, which wouldn't cause an air flow issue.

If you look at the attached pics, it shows the diagnostics. I'm not sure if you are comfortable following them, but I can help if you need me.

Hi,

You are very welcome. In all honesty, that will be based on what is determined by the diagnostics. You may need to remove a few things, but I don't see a reason (at this point) to remove the dash.

how do I find the connectors?
I am trying to figure it out without any experience.
I can use an multimeter and test light.

The one connector is behind the controller that you actuate from the vehicle The floor door actuator is a little more difficult. First you need to follow these directions.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
1. Disassemble the instrument panel air distribution ducts.

2. Remove the screws and remove the center instrument panel duct.

3. Remove the screw and remove the defroster duct.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
