I've got two questions for you:
The first -- Every time I turn the steering wheel for a tight turn, I hear a single loud pop that comes from the front wheel well on the driver's side. I'm not sure what it might be, as usually a C-V joint is series of continual popping through out the turn, isn't it?
Second -- I'm experiencing a little play in the power steering, it seems a little unresponsive until a certain point then it will begin to turn. It turns, just not as quickly and as responsively as I'd like. Any ideas?

sounds like bad ball joints or a worn tie rod ends.

cause the clunking and the loose front end.

cvs will cause fast clicking not one loud pop then stop.
