1995 Eagle Vision 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 76500k miles

I overfilled the gas tank once a few years ago. The gas gauge has been stuck on full ever since. Do you think the problem is in the tank or the gauge?

Sounds more like the fuel sending unit is not doing its job
