ive got the altenater off but do i pull it out of the top or the bottom of the motor? and what do i have to take off to get it out?

It all depends on wich motor you have. is it a 420a non turbo motor or an 4g63t wich is a turbo motor.

If you have the 4g63 turbo motor, you will need to first disconect the battery, then unclip the single wire plug off the alt, then unbolt the main wire, then unlossen the lower bolt, then the top bracket has a tensioner on it, you will need to loosen the bolt on the side so you can loosen the front of the bolt.
