My 95 eagle talon overheats on idle, my fan kicks in normally and it doesnt help cool down the engine but when i step on the gas on neutral it brings the temperature back to normal. New water pump, thermostat and coolant flush didnt solved the problem. It started after my belt for water pump and alternator broke in the highway and i had to drive it 50km more to get it fixed in the nearest town. What could be the problem here? Thanks in advance.

i would suspect a cracked head gasket and possibly cracked head from the belt breaking under operation
