1994 Eagle Talon turbo troubles

When the boost comes to 7 lbs. The engin sputters and falls on its face. Engin runs great up to that point. Any advice?

R is it like hitting a brick wall? When it sputters? What happens? Does the boost gauge drop lower? You could be getting fuel cut? Or you have a boost leak.
I take it you have an aftermarket boost gauge? Also do you have a manual boost controller? Any mods? More info please. And thank you
