i cannot find the starter on my summit. If possible I would like to know the location and any tips that could make it easier

To locate the starter follow the battery positive cable it will take you straight to it

Disconnect battery ground cable.
On models w/1.5L engines, remove air cleaner and intake manifold stay, as needed, to gain access to starter.
Disconnect starter wiring.
Remove starter mounting bolts, then remove starter motor.
Reverse procedure to install.
