Hello,

Recently my car listed above had a message in dash "Transmission Service Required", the message appeared when I was at manual shift mode in second gear on downhill road to use second gear as an engine break.

Shortly I scanned with vida, I got DTC code TCM-0350 which is meant wrong type of transmission (?).

The first time I did was resetting with vida to clear the DTC, but failed. Still got the message "Transmission Service Required".

My car has never changed transmission since new. Transmission oil always change every 30,000 miles with filter replacement.

Do you have an experience like this? What should I do?

Any help will be appreciated.

From the DTC description, it uses the gear ratio to detect it is the wrong transmission. This vehicle has the GM 4T65 so it is very well possible the transmission you have on may have come off a GM vehicle? Also, if you have access to VIDA you should try to reset the transmission adaptations and do an adaptive relearn. If the problem persist then you should replace the transmission using the OE part ve se.

I have seen transmission shops try to rebuild these transmission and fail several times to it? Hope information helps you out.
