Dropped Something in Area Next to Parking Brake Handle?

I have the same problem as the issue described here, only with a different make and model of car:

I'm having trouble applying to my make and model of car the instruction on removing the plastic housing that were described at the link.

Advice for my particular make and model would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Yep, that can be tough, there is a bezel around the gear shifter that needs to be removed which is held is with clips, I would use a trim removal tool to not damage the bezel, here is how the trim piece is removed so you can see down inside the cavity. Please upload a short video in your response of the problem, so I can see what's going on\. Check out the images (below). Please let me know what happens.
