Hi,

Can you explain what was done with the headlamps already? As far as the DRL system, I need you to check a couple fuses for me. See the attached portion of the wiring schematic. It shows where power comes from the fuse box to the electronic control unit (ECU). Then from there, power is distributed to the DRL lights.

In addition to just checking the fuses, make sure they are fully inserted and there are no issues with contact. Also, if the fuses are good, then please confirm there is power to the fuse itself.

Here are a few links you may find helpful:

Let me know if this helps. Note that if the fuses are good, then we need to confirm it is getting to the ECU and a signal out to the lamps is present.

Take care,
Joe

Hi Joe, well I replaced the junction block and ECU in my car. There are sulfation. Now with my test lamp and multi-meter I was checking the fuse (ECU IG 1 and ACC fuses) are good. On the junction block I identified the 2 blue wires (A28 and A49). I tested with my multi-meter but I don’t have voltage. I don’t know if its day does not have voltage, but yesterday at night I checked and neither has voltage. May be a did some bad.

Hi,

Is the power getting through the fuse but not available at the ECM? If you back probe the wires, is there power?

Thanks,

Joe
PS: I hope you are well.

Hi,

If there is power in and out to the fuse but it doesn't make it to the wires, there is an open between the two. You indicated there was corrosion when you got the parts. Check to see if anything is preventing power from going out the fuse and into the wiring.

Joe hi. The old parts had corrosion and I had problem with some lights (tail light, license plate light, highlights, position light, dome light and panel light in my car.
Now I have a new junction block and ECU and are good all lights. Now I have just a problem with DRL.

Thanks.

Hello my friend. I need clarification. You have power in and out at the fuse, but nothing goes to the blue wires. Is that correct? If it is, I'm lost because if power is out of the fuse but is not at the wires, then where is it going? Power from the ECU should exist if it gets power from the fuse. If you unplug the connector, is there power at the pins on the ECU? If there isn't, I think you got another bad ECU. The DRL show be powered all the time.

Let me know.

Hi Joe, I have good news yesterday and today i have bee working with the lights and performed for second time that links you sent me and I founded a plug open (I don’t know how to say in English) after that if you want to use the DRL on Toyota Corolla 2016 you need to follow some condition in the car.
1. take available in your radio “lights settings, daytime running lights on”.
2. the transmission out of P.
3. brake handle off.

Thanks so much for help me again.

Take care.

Excellent job!!! You are very welcome. You did a lot of work on this vehicle. Regardless, you fixed it.

I'm happy to hear it's working for you. Please feel free to come back if you have any questions in the future.

You take care, stay healthy, and I wish you and your family a Happy Easter.
