I had my driveshaft changed Friday. Saturday evening the engine light appears. Only to find out Sunday that I had no oil. I am due for an oil change in fifty miles and I had no oil issues before taking it in. Did they lose oil while changing the driveshaft? Or even transmission fluid?

They would not have had any reason to drain the oil when changing the driveshaft. So I doubt that they did anything on that end. You probably just have an oil leak. Cap it off, start it up, and let it idle for maybe fifteen minutes. See if you see any oil dripping down. Then let it sit for an hour or two and check again.

Thank you. But I had no oil issues before the driveshaft was replaced.

It has probably been leaking slowly for months. It happens. The driveshaft has nothing to do with engine oil. I promise.
