Driver Side Window Works After Several Attempts?

Would extreme heat have to do with it? Other window worked fine just drive side seemed to stick, temperature has been in 90s and feeling like it’s in the 100s from humidity .

Also would like to add I rarely use windows maybe roll them down a couple times a month for drive Thurs etc but mostly use driver side window not passenger . Would heat cause it to stick and not work after a few attempts even when it’s more used than the passenger side & passenger side rolled down first try?

Hit the master switch to roll down driver side window and it didn’t work until about the third attempt almost like a delay. Didn’t make any noise at all while trying to roll it down it just didn’t budge until a few attempts. Car only year old, any ideas???

If you live in a high humidity area I would replace the master switch. This should fix the problem.

After only a year though? It worked on the third attempt and other windows worked fine with master switch

Just the driver side took a few attempts and this is the first time it happened

Maybe it just got stuck, did you press the button firmly?

Yes I pressed it a few times firmly and after the 3rd or 4th attempt it worked. I tested it a few times throughout the day and it worked fine.

Yep, chances are it is the switch. Also can you double check the year? They stopped making this car in 2024

It’s a kia k4 2025 and it worked fine ever since so I’m thinking maybe it just got stuck? We have had an immense heat wave here in Fl and temps have been 93-95 degrees so maybe that made it stick? Idk it’s a brand new car

Is it possible it could be an electrical glitch or simpy just mechanical from lack of use/ extreme heat?

Yes, this is possible. Sometimes you need to work the switch to remove dust from the contacts. Is it working now?

I didn’t try it today but last I tried it was Monday and it seemed to work just fine, like I said I rarely use my windows so I didn’t know if it had something to do with that or what
