Recently purchased the car listed above used. The driver's side power mirror is not working. I folds in fine but the adjustment is not working. Passenger window works fine.

Also noticed that the power window and door lock buttons on the passenger side stay illuminated after the car is turned off. All three other door switches are not lit but the passenger front door switches are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

These are two separate problems. We will look at the power mirror issues in this post. Please post the lighting issue here.

For the power mirror is sounds like the fuse for the drivers side mirror is out. Here is a guide to help you test it and the fuse location with the power mirror wiring diagrams so you can see how it works:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please run this test and get back to us.

Cheers, Ken

Thank you for your help. Both fuses for the left and right mirrors are not blown. It looks like if the fuse for the left mirror was blown, the power fold in feature would not work and yet it does. Any other ideas? Could it be a loose wire to the mirror or in the control module?

Good call, it sounds like the door module can be out. I would test for an power output to the mirror to confirm the failure. You will need to have it programmed which should run about $130.00 at a shop. There is a chance it might self initialize. Here are diagrams to help you replace it.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Can you provide any resources on how to remove the side mirror so as to access the wires behind it? I am wondering if they are loose or need to be cleaned up. The mirror folds in so there is some power getting to the mirror, just will not adjust. Thank you.
