Door will not lock with remote fob or by the switch inside the car. will not lock when put into gear and drive like suppose to, only the passenger side locks. the only time drivers door will lock is with the key in the door lock cylinder however when bringing the back to top to pull key out it unlocks. you can hear the actuator running but no go. i pulled the door panel to check for binding and all looks good. is the problem a bad door lock actuator or another component. Is there a test that can been done to determine this. Thanks

If the actuator isn't fully functioning, that is most likely the problem. You mentioned you can hear it working, but it doesn't unlock the door. That is the first thing I would say is bad.
