drivers seat motor

the driver's seat will go up and down but not forward or backward. Is this switch or a motor problem and if it's a motor problem are there 2 different motors controlling all 4 directions or just 1?

There will be 2 motors and you will have to check the switch and motor with a test light to see if current is flowing when operated. i would be expecting a faulty switch.

Test with a test light that should give you the answer.
