GEM location

The drivers window will not operate, but when I try to lower the window the courtesy lights in the doors and dome come on dim and react to the power window switch in the up or down position. The right window operates slowly from the drivers window switch but normally from the right door window switch. All these components intersect at the GEM, but where is the general electrical module and how do I find a replacement? The window also has an auto down relay. I know something is shorted but I cannot find where.

It does sounds like the GEM is out which is behind the cater of the dash. Here are diagrams to show you where.
