I lost all power to the drivers side door, windows, locks, mirrors, courtesy light on inside door, cannot control anything on passenger door. Was periodically blowing 15 amp fuse marked DDM, but everything worked after replacement. Now fuse has not blown and nothing works. Checked large orange wire which plugs into door switch module and tester lighted up. Any ideas? Thank you

Based on the combination of observations, the best suspect is broken and frayed wires between the door hinges.

I had 5 broken or frayed wires. However they were under the dashboard directly above the parking brake pedal. A few years ago the drivers door was replaced due to a deer strike, and its possible the body shop did not fully rewrap the wires. Thanks.

That's an unusual place to find them. I did this repair on a few dozen vehicles years ago that had up to 22 wires. The flexing section was 11" long. To do the repair, I pulled the harness out of the door and the "A" pillar so I could splice to areas that had not been flexing. My trick was to splice in 24"-long pieces of wire. Once completed, I pushed the splices into the door, then stuffed half of those wires into the "A" pillar. The next time this repair needed to be done, all the mechanic had to do was pull the extra wire out of the "A" pillar and the job was half done.
