Driver side headlight,taillight and windshield wipers not working

Hi,

Okay, is there anything other that is not working? I ask because I just went through the wiring schematics for the headlamps, tail lamps, and wipers and there is only on common ground for them, the multi function switch on the steering column. If there is something different happening, then my thoughts of that being the problem will change.

All of the items you mentioned have separate fuses as well as grounds, so I have a feeling it is the actual switch.

The directions for replacement are in the two attached pics and somewhat vague. If you decide to replace it and run into trouble, let me know.

That's all the issues I know of.
But I have no clue what i am doing.
I literally had this car for not even 24 hours...
So i am going to have to take it to a mechanic.
What should I tell them?

Tell him exactly what you told me. I have a feeling it is related to the switch I mentioned because that is the only thing I see that can tie everything together.

If you have the chance, let me know what is found. I would really like to know if it is the switch.

That is frustrating to hear you just got the vehicle. I feel really confident that the prior owner knew of this problem. If you got it from a dealer, I would return it and tell them it never should have passed inspection and needs fixed at their cost. However, I don't know where you are located and what state laws deem as a requirement. Here in PA, if a vehicle is sold "as is" it still needs checked / inspected. If faults are found (and this would have been) they have to provide it in wiring to the person purchasing it.
