Driver side door shows open when the door is closed on the overhead indicator.

The driver side door indicator shows open when the door is closed. The interior lights come on and stay on. (draining the battery) The black and orange wires have been repaired between the door and engine, but the problem still exists. Any suggestion PLEASE.

Can you post a photo of the door switch? There should be a switch on the "B" pillar if you have a base model. The others have the switch built into the power lock motor assembly. If your switch is attached to the "B" pillar, is it shaped like a teardrop with a single mounting hole on top?
