Hi, my vehicle is in great shape but some parts are getting worn. There is a black bar on the door that attaches to the body and retracts into the door panel. It is making noise, looks worn and it is getting harder to open and shut the door.

I do not know what this part is called. I would like to try and purchase the part online to save money. But since I do not know what it is called I cannot.

Thanks for your help.

Hello, I am Danny.

If possible can you take a picture with your phone of the part and upload it here? That would help us in identifying which part you are talking about. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Thank you so much for your response. If I bought the part is this really hard to install? Really appreciate your help.

Hello again.

That is a Door Stop/Door Limiter. That is there so that when the door is opened it will not let the door open past a certain limit. Keeps it from flying all the open or hyper-extend to the fender. All you need to do is remove the door panel, take the pin out, and remove those two bolts and it comes out through the door. I have attached a tutorial on how to remove a door panel. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks again for using 2CarPros.
