I have a 2002 Audi A6. My driver side seat is tilting forward mechanically but not backwards. what can cause this and how do I fix it? Theres is no problem with moving the seat back and forth. all of this is down by the use of buttons on the side of the car seat. could this be the motor?

The same motors are used for both functions... so it is most likely a button or wiring problem.

Motor that moves the seat forward, moves the seat back (polarity to motor is switched).
Motor that tilts the seat forward is used to tilt the seat back (polarity is switched).
etc.
