Driver's door will not open

Hi all,
The door on my car is locked and i cannot open it from outside or inside, both of the handles look too loose. Everything I check on internet gives you the solution only if is open the door already but if is close i cannot find anything. Can you help any advise?

If you cannot remove the door panel with the door closed in order to take a look inside that door to find out what is wrong, maybe removing the seats if you have to then it appears that you are going to have to get the door open and perhaps you can get it open with the use of a slim-jim, a thin tool used for opening car locks.

Thanks for the tip. I will have a go and see what I can do. I removed the panel but is still the one holding the window. all look okay until now so I suppose is inside.

Hello,

I would try and look to see if the control rods are connected the the latch. Can you upload a picture if the inside of the latch since the door panel is off? I am thinking you can work the release of the latch using a long standard screwdriver. Can you double check the year I don't see it in out database?

Hi Ken. Got same problem with my 1997 fiesta flight. Managed to get door panel off from the inside but all the mechanism is covered with plastic or steel. Interested in your long screw driver method. Where do I poke it ?
