The new design uses a torque tube from front to rear with a shaft inside it. However, as these are all still under warranty the information on removal and re-installation is only available at a GM dealer at the moment. Why are you trying to remove It?

It had been in a front end collison, and needed a cradle replacement.

That is not fun. From what I can find the new shaft is retained with internal snap rings like a common front half shaft. Takes a tool (DT-51329-A) clamped to the shaft to pop it free.
