Drive belt noise

The drive belt has been replace twice in the past two years, around July each time. Last March, the squeaking noise returned. Car technicians want to replace the belt, but I have a hard time believing that the belt is wearing out every eight months.

Hello,

It sounds like the belt is weak causing the belt to make noise at wear out premature. Here is a guide to help you get an idea on what we are talking about. If they do not re-tension the belt after the first installation it will go bad .
