The alternator/water pump drive belt came off while my son was driving. I think I can replace it myself, but I don't know how to find out how long it should be. Can you tell me how long it, and the AC/power steering belts should be?

Hi:

From what I am seeing, both belts should be 35" in length. If you contact any auto parts store, they should get you fixed up with the correct belt.

As far as replacement, I attached the directions below for adjusting which need to be followed for the removal and installation as well.

Note: When you call the parts store for the belts, let them know it does have AC. The vehicle also came without AC and that belt will be too short.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care.

Joe
