Hi, I need a spark plug and coil replaced on my car. I was just wondering if you’d recommend driving it short distances to and from work? Or will that create bigger problems?

It is not recommended. Especially if the check engine light is flashing. You are damaging your catalytic converter which will get even more expensive to replace.
