I have been trying to change the antifreeze in my truck and had a hard time finding anything that looked like a regular drain plug. I did find something that may be the plug but it looks like it needs a special tool or something to take it off. The bottom radiator hose is halfway up the radiator so it would not get drain properly. Can you tell me how to get that drain plug out?

Good morning.

That is not a drain plug. The best way to drain the coolant is to remove the lower hose from the radiator. That will get majority of the coolant removed.

I would also replace the thermostat while you are doing this service.
