When I take off from a complete stop it feels like the transmission drags itself into gear then once it is in gear it takes off fine can drive on highway, but through town it drags from time to time. It feels like it shakes into gear and then is ready to take off what could this be? Please help a broke single mom save some money.

Have a transmission professional scan for codes normally there is no charge for this and he can give a better opinion.

Hello,

Please start by checking the transmission fluid level. Do you see any leaks on the ground where you park the car?

Please get back to us, we are here to help

Best, Ken

If you scan for codes it will tell you if the speed sensor is the problem plus your check engine light will be on if it is until you do that you are spending money on parts that are probably good.
