1500 sport truck downshifts fine when cold but when warmed up overdrive light pops on the right back off and then it will not downshift lower than third. I can do it manually to second but not first. Governor solenoid and transducer and filter and gasket were just replaced. What could be wrong? Any help on this? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

To me it sounds like you have an engine coolant temperature sensor that is not working right. This will cause the computer to think the engine has not warmed up and then cuts off the overdrive.

It might show a trouble code but not always.

Here is a guide that help show you what you are in for when doing the job.

Please let us know what happens.
