Door locks not working?

I need to know where the door lock relay is located in my car listed above (cc). My doors don’t lock or unlock you don’t even hear sound when pushing lock buttons. The shop seems to think that it’s the comfort control module but I disagree because everything else in the car is in working order! The location of the door lock relay and any fuse for only the door locks would be of great help to me.

Hi,

I looked through the wiring diagrams on this and it appears there are not fuses or relays solely for the door locks. The fuses are for the door modules that ultimately control the door lock actuator. There are multiple fuses that cover each door module so it is unlikely that each fuse blew. Plus even if they did, it would not effect just the door locks as the entire door module would be off line.

Also, it looks like the Comfort System Central Control Module is responsible for telling each door to open or close the locks. So the fact that all locks are effected, this would make sense that this module is the issue. Lastly, the CSCCM has a circuit board that would allow for only the lock system to fail and not affect the other things that it controls.

Take a look at these attachments and see what you think but it appears they may be correct.

Thanks for the information. You seem to be knowledgeable because that’s exactly what the shop is telling me :( not a cheap fix but it’s a must I get it done! You saved me time and frustration because I’ve been looking for and hoping that I’d find this door lock relay for a cheaper logical fix. Thanks again

Sorry to not give you better news. It may not be a bad idea to get a second opinion just to cover yourself but based on this information, I think it is unfortunately, pretty clear.

Thanks for the compliment. Please come back and use 2carPros any time and tell a friend. Thanks again.

So they want to change both rear door modules? If that is the case, I would question that because they are independent of each other and it would be very rare for them both to fail at the same time causing just an issue with the door locks. So two independent components failed at the same time causing the same issue. That should sound like it wouldn't happen because I don't think it could.

This would be like the only two faucets in your house just stopped supplying water at the same time and the plumber said the faucets are the issue. I would think the water supply to the house would be the issue not the individual faucets.

In your case, this would be the comfort system central control module. This is what controls the locking system through each door module. I attached the info for this module.

Let's ask them what module they are thinking needs replaced just to clarify.

Kasekenny1, I’m really hoping you’re still out there? So, I finally bought and replaced the csccm (costly)put it in myself. Unfortunately I am still getting no power to the locks. I’m lost. Absolutely everything else works in the car. I learned a little during the install though. I did notice that the little red dot on the top of the door panel(driver side)also isn’t illuminated(hence no power, but only to anything lock related). Also, when pressing the locks from inside the car you get nothing and hear nothing but when pressing lock on the remote you hear a clicking in the instrument panel and the outside lights and side mirror lights illuminate. I’m not sure if using they key fob key to lock the driver door is supposed to lock all doors and unlock but this function doesn’t work either. I’m lost. Can you help? Where else can I track this lack of power to? No unlock or lock and this is to all 4 doors.

Just to be clear, were the door modules changed? I see you changed the central module which would make the most sense but I am starting to think we missed something.

So let me know all the parts that were replaced.

If the remotes are causing the lights to flash then that shows the central module is operating but the door modules don't appear to be unlocking the actuators.

It is highly unlikely that each door module would be faulty so was there any history to this? Meaning was the vehicle in an accident, hit by lightening, in a flood?

Please let us know this and I am sure we can try and get back on track. Thanks.

Bought the car from a dealership here in town(raptor automotive)the locks weren’t working when I purchased the car. As far as I know nothing has been replaced and everything is original, I know this also from working on the car. I haven’t checked each individual door module and actuator but I am highly doubtful that they were all changed and are defective. The only thing I have changed is the csccm. I figured that is what would send the power to the doors for them to function. I need to trace back any other power source the send power to the locks. Do you have any idea to troubleshoot from here? My last resort will be to install aftermarket actuators on each door with a keyless system but haven’t given up on finding this mysterious lack of power. It is confusing because like I said every other function the vehicle is equipped with works.

Okay. What I normally do with these situations when starting to feel overwhelmed because it doesn't make sense as to why all these things are happening is to pick one of them and work through it and fix that one issue.

If it fixes all of them then that is great. If not, then we just move onto the next one.

What I would do is start with the driver door and check voltage at the lock unit and work back until you find where you have the proper voltage.

I attached the wiring diagrams below.

Let me know what you find with this. Thanks
