Doors continually lock and unlock, even when parked with key off?

Sometimes the locks move up and down. Other times there is just a clicking noise in the driver's door.

I do not have the fob for the alarm system and have taken the fuse out for the horn. The lights flash when I open the door but turn off when I start the car.

Any ideas on what I should do?

Does the truck have an aftermarket alarm system? If so, it will need to be removed. If not with all doors closed pull on each door and move it around a little to see if you get the system to react this is telling you the door close switch inside the door is going bad, also there is a BCM involved which can cause the issue as well. Here are the door lock wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works. Here is the BCM location as well in case you need to replace it. To confirm the BCM failure you should do a CAN scan. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon from about $32.00.

Here is a video to show you how:

Hello, and thank you for your reply. Here is a bit more information: Last night I was worried that the constant locking and unlocking would drain the battery, so I took the positive cable off of the battery. This morning I hooked it back into the battery. There was not more problem. I drove the car for about two hours and the locking system never once either locked or unlocked on its own?

The alarm system is factory as far as I know. When I open the doors the emergency lights flash on and off until I put the key in the door or they time out. As I mentioned before, I took the fuse out, so the horn does not sound.

Okay, that is a good clue that you reset the system and fixed it for now. This will be a module or controller problem (BODY ECU). You will need to get a rebuilt unit which will come preprogrammed for your car, search Goggle or eBay for a service that does this. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
