The driver's door window drops but when you close it, it does not rise?

On the car listed above when you open the door the window drops about 1/2 inch. My driver's door window drops but when you close it, it does not rise. You can raise it by the switch. How is this set or reset?

Hello,

Have you tried resetting the electric windows?

With engine idling press the driver's window switch down, hold it down. When the window reaches the bottom keep the button pressed for 5 seconds. Next pull the window switch to close the window. When the window reaches all the way to top hold switch for about 5 seconds.

Check if window now works as, it should.

I did what you said now when you close the door the window goes up for a few seconds then down about a 1/2 inch back up then down back up then down. I assume you got the picture. You can bring it down about halfway and it stays. Now what do I do? Thanks for your help!

To me it sounds like you have a window regulator that is bad, can you hear the window motor working when the window goes down? If not then I would replace the regulator. Here is how.
