My rear drivers side door will not open from either the inside or outside. I have my MOT coming up and need to know how to fix this myself or how much it will cost to get it fixed.

The only thing you can do is remove the inner door panel to see if linkage is broken or damaged. The panel is not easy to remove with the door closed, but it can be done. I cannot estimate a cost without knowing what is wrong.
