Hello,
This is common problem and is usually becasue the lock rod has fallen off of the door latch. You must remove the door panel here is a guide to show you what you are in for when doing the job.

And some diagrams (below) of the latch assembly.
Of course try to open the door from the outside with the rest of the car unlocked.
