There is a change they connected the jumper backwards or that the car has a voltage surge when the jump was done. Also, if the driver's door was slammed it can damage the DDM (driver's door module), a CAN scan should have a code for the problem. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
