What to check next

Diagnostic guidance. Suggested checks and possible repairs are separate from the owner's reported results.

Have the damaged module and connector assessed, including the cause of the damage and any moisture entry. Verify replacement compatibility and setup requirements before installation, then confirm normal lighting operation.

There is an interior light override switch on the cluster dimmer switch please make sure that is not activated. Also, there are three other switch it can be, cargo, rear interior and central interior switches, please check all of those as well. Plug the BCM back in, it could be the PLG control module but lets do one step at a time. Ken

It ended up being the Bcm. Removed the Bcm from the vehicle and took it apart. Found burnt connections on the bcm circuit board at the door switch connector. Looks to be possible water intrusion

Discussion summary

door lights stay on when all doors are closed?

The owner reported interior or door lights staying on with the doors closed. Disconnecting the BCM extinguished them. On removing and opening the BCM, the owner found burned circuit-board connections near the door-switch connector and suspected water intrusion.

Reported outcome: The owner reported visible BCM damage, but no completed replacement or final functional result.

Water intrusion was suspected rather than established. Disconnecting a module and extinguishing the lamps alone would not have isolated the fault; the later physical damage was the additional finding.
