Driver's door will not latch securely. It latches half way. Then the driver has to open and shut it firmly to make it secure.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

There is a chance it just needs lubricated. Open the door and locate the latch assembly on the door. Using a penetrating oil such as WD40, spray the moving components and where they mount. Open and close the door a few times to see if that helps.

If it doesn't, check to make sure the striker on the door frame (what the latch attaches to) didn't move inward making it hard to latch the door. I attached a picture if the striker for you. Note: If you find the striker needs adjustment, just loosen the bolt (I believe it is a T45 torx head bolt). You don't need to remove the bolt.

If none of that helps, confirm that no weather stripping has come loose and stopping the door from closing easily.

Let me know if this helps. Also, make sure the latch is tight. If you need anything, feel free to let me know.
