I was wondering if you would have any idea why the hinges on my driver side door keep getting in a bind and breaking?

Hello , I am Danny.

As much as I do not like to say it, is a common problem. As an owner of four different Silverado's I have only had it happen to one (knock on wood). My current 1989 Silverado has only 79,000 original miles so please do not jinx me! Haha. Door sag and wear are common factors due to the weight but other than that there is no real reason. I belong to a group on Facebook (GMT400 owners) that have the replacement down to a science. It involves the door pin in the hinge. If you want me to give you the GM specifics from this page (2CarPros) I can. Danny-
