My rear passenger door seal/weather stripping that has the bulb and then the flange that covers the inside needs replacing. I tried gluing etc. (Tragic nightmare: so not fixable just FYI) I’ve looked at Ford but it’s super expensive. I was wondering if you could recommend an universal product I could either order or go pick up somewhere.

I know I’ve seen them on Amazon but it’s confusing looking at computer generated illustrations of measurement etc. But I’m looking for the one that you push over the frame.

I look forward to hearing back and getting your recommendations

I would suggest looking for the part at a salvage yard. That way it would be the OEM part and fit correctly and still be much less money than the dealer. If you visit
https://www.car-part.com/ and enter in all the information you can it will list salvage yards that have one or more of them on the lot, and most have pictures so you can pick one that wasn't damaged on that side and then call them about the pricing. You will want to enter in something like rear door or glass because most places don't bother listing the parts that don't sell often. However you will also want to give a better description of the part you are looking for, I think you mean the door panel or the inner weather stripping but that doesn't have a bulb normally, could you please take a couple pictures of the pieces you are referring to and post them here, that would let us see the parts and give the trade terms for them.

I tried a junk yard and nobody has it.

This is what I’m referring too:

Universal Door Trim Seal with Internal Rubber Flange 45/64" Bulb Diameter X 0.039"-17/64" Grip Range X 21/32" U Height (13 Feet or 4 Meter) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LM680US/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_p8TKFb6D183YN

Okay, that is just common door trim seals, the reason the yard told you they didn't have it is because it's not a part they normally sell so they don't bother and it's easier to say no than deal with it. However there are a lot of yards including ones where you can pull the parts yourself. Look online for places like you-pull-it auto parts or similar. Then call them and ask if they have any 2008-2012 Escapes in the lot. Or hit their web site and search to see if they have a right rear door for an 08-12 Escape. If they do they have that part as those years used the same doors and seals, but as I said they may not want to bother selling it because it isn't a big money item. They would rather sell you a door for $200.00 off the wreck they paid $300.00 for than remove that door seal to sell it for $10.00. That is where the pull a part places are great, you go get the part yourself and can get an idea of how it attaches without needing to tear your vehicle apart first.
The other option would be to try to match it up to other sources, but those may not fit without needing to remove your part first to measure, even then it may not as the companies like to make things unique.
