Dome lights surging?

It started raining outside. Driver door is fully closed, dash light says it’s open and dome lights a one surging.

Did both of these things happen at once? If so, I can tell you the door latch switch tells the BCM the door is open. Do any other lights surge? Also, the interior lights are powered by the BCM as well so that can be a problem, but I would do a CAN scan to see which codes are stored which should lead us to the problem, you can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

There is also a driver's door module that can be shorting out, I would remove the electrical connector and check it for corrosion, also check the BCM in the same way, disconnect the battery first. Here are the locations for both. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
